Are you an active person looking for an energetic dog to keep up with you? Well we have the dog for you and his name is Benny! Benny is an adorable, young pointer/hound mix who loves to go on fun adventures and show off his playful side. Want to go for a run? How about a hike? Maybe a long walk in the park? Benny has you covered! And typical of a hound, Benny has floppy ears and a hilarious howl. Because of his energy level, Benny needs an active adopter who can give him all the exercise he wants and needs, and trust us, he wants and needs a lot. And can you really blame him? Who doesn't love romping around with their favorite human? Right now Benny is off on an adventure enjoying all of the playtime and fun he deserves with some of his favorite humans and doggie friends, so if you're interested in this handsome boy make an appointment to come and meet him by emailing email@example.com. Don't miss out on your opportunity to meet this fun-loving boy! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-11-21-00157Walker (male)|
3 year old Walker is a handsome fellow who finds himself on death row because he wouldn't hunt for his owner. He just has no interest in hunting; he would much rather be playing with dogs. he doesn't understand why he's stuck in a cell. he's not done anything wrong - but he will die next week. Please consider Walker as part of your family - we have videos to share of him playing with other dogs. He's been vetted and is heart worm negative. HE MUST BE WITH OTHER DOGS! He would be lost without a 'pack' or 'mate'. He does guard his food and is protective of it. We need an owner who will feed separately and understands this trait. We believe it is because food was withheld by his owner to make him hunt. With dogs like this we suggest no young children in the home but he is great with children everywhere else. If you met him you'd not believe how sweet he is. He loves affection and walks well on a leash. He is almost house trained also. Please give him a chance. We've reduced his fee - please save his life.. (Less)

Foxhound Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The American Foxhound is a fierce pack hunter with a gentle and affectionate disposition when among people. Foxhounds are especially sociable with other dogs. This breed is a natural hunter and is not a good choice for a household with pets other than dogs. American Foxhounds are generally good with children. Some are very protective and others are friendly toward strangers. The American Foxhound can be somewhat difficult to housebreak, will follow interesting scents, and may take off after squirrels, etc. These dogs are best suited to a home with some acreage.
