Rescue Me ID: 14-08-27-00694Bea or BeMo (female)
Bea is a beautiful female mixed breed average sized hound type dog. She is fearless! She is reddish tan and white short hair. Friends have said she looks like she could have some pit bull and some hound in her DNA. She has a lovely face that is half white and half reddish tan. She had her first litter of puppies six weeks ago. She is a sweet, playful, and energetic dog who loves being around people. Bea needs a lot of space to run and play and interact with both people and other dogs. She may be good with children but I have not seen her interact with children. Bea is strong. I believe she would be easy to train. She responds well to praise, love, and treats. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-26-00452Chuck (male)
Chuck is about 3 years old. Was originally adopted from Austin Pets Alive. He has been in a home with another dog and a small child. He does well with children. He has been boarded several times as well. He has separation anxiety, therefore I think he would do best in a home without other animals. He is very chilled out most of the day. We tried rehoming him in a home with 3 other dogs and it did not go very well. He was very upset. I believe before we adopted him he was abused as a puppy. He is very timid around adults he does not know. Thunder makes him shake! Our daughter has a severe pet allergy and we are struggling to keep it under control. Please help! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-22-00333Jimmy Jango (male)
We adopted Jimmy from the animal shelter in January. He is around two years old and is a Fox Hound Mix. He is a very loving and playful dog. He is great with kids and other dogs. He is house broken, neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and knows many basic commands. He is just too much puppy for our much older dog who keeps getting injured trying to keep up with him.

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-28-00004Lolli (female)
Miss Lolli is one spunky and silly little girl who is approximately 8 months old. Her absolute favorite thing to do is chewing on elk antlers or any bone for that matter! She LOVES playing with and chasing her foster sister Jenna and relaxing in the sun with her foster sister Dani. She is one fun loving puppy who is always making her foster parents laugh. This little girl loves to play, play, play and also loves a good snuggle on the couch. She would be a perfect addition to a family with kids so they can wear each other out...any Mom's dream! Lolli does well in her crate during the day when her foster parents are at work. She loves to play in the back yard with her people and other dogs, but she runs like he wind for inside when she knows she is going to get a treat! She also loves going on walks where she can get to know the world by all the good smells around the neighborhood. This little lady had a rough start to life as a young pup, but now she is happy and healthy and looking for her forever home! If you are ready for some fun and adventure AND a comfy nap on the couch to follow, Lolli is the girl for your family. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-12-00180Girl (female)
Girl run around the area for about a month with my neighbors dog before I realized nobody was feeding her. I didn't see her everyday then one day she was skin and bones I couldn't stand it. I first started feeding she outside the fenced yard. The 2 dogs she run with would eat also so I would bring her in feed her and let her back out to run, when she started bringing back fleas and ticks to my 4 dogs. I stopped letting her out. She is good with almost everything, I have to be around when it's feeding time, I think she got to hungry and doesn't want anyone close to her bowl(this is becoming less of an issue as time passes), but she wants to play musical bowls as do mine to make sure anybody has the same thing. She plays with my roommates 4 month old chihuahua and is really gentle. She just wants to be loved, she think she's a lap dog. She would like to sleep in the bed with you and if you don't mind getting kicked all night that's ok. I'm teaching her to lay beside the bed on a large pillow and that is working well. I already have 4 dogs and my roommate 1. I don't have the funds to get her fixed or keep feeding her. Ijust couldn't let her starve. This baby needs a home where she can have more attention. She's a good good girl. She may be a purebred for all I know. Please leave message as I have many bill collector's and don't answer #'s I don't know. Thank you (Less)

Animal ID: 12-06-05-00343Briley (female)
Briley is just about the best little dog anyone could ask for. She is pure white with ginger markings. She is house trained/crate trained and never barks when in her crate. On top of that, she is a neat freak. She is the first dog I have ever seen that will walk around a mud puddle to avoid getting her feet wet. She walks well on a leash and loves stuffed animals and toys. I have quite a crew at my house. She is very playful when outside and can hold her own with the larger dogs yet she is very gentle and sweet with my little ones. With people, she is somewhat reserved but has a cute quirky personality. People that like a calmer dog would really like Briley. I cannot say enough good things about this girl. I do require a fenced yard. No invisible fences, and a home visit is required. More photos and a video available upon request. (Less)

Foxhound Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The American Foxhound is a fierce pack hunter with a gentle and affectionate disposition when among people. Foxhounds are especially sociable with other dogs. This breed is a natural hunter and is not a good choice for a household with pets other than dogs. American Foxhounds are generally good with children. Some are very protective and others are friendly toward strangers. The American Foxhound can be somewhat difficult to housebreak, will follow interesting scents, and may take off after squirrels, etc. These dogs are best suited to a home with some acreage.
