Rescue Me ID: 15-01-28-00435Blue (male)
Have raised Blue since birth, owned both parents. He is roughly 75 lbs, in excellent health, crate trained.Has become somewhat dominant with other dogs, especially our smaller female Lab. He is loving with myself and my husband, but has become jealous of my 12 month old grandson and growls. Need to find him an adult only home. Preferrably a home with none or one other female dog. Thank you for your consideration.

Rescue Me ID: 15-01-07-00027Izzy (female)
Izzy is such a happy girl! She appears to be a full blooded American Foxhound who loves to play, and of course sniff every inch of ground she comes across! Izzy is approximately 18 months to 2 years old...still young enough to have puppy spurts of energy, but mature enough to cuddle with you on the couch at night while you watch tv. Poor Izzy was on the euthanasia list at a local shelter for having demodectic mange. She is now mange free and is feverishly working on growing her beautiful fur back. Please come meet this very special girl!

Rescue Me ID: 14-12-30-00053Cooper (male)
Friendly, playful, energetic, and independent. He loves to play and chase most anything that moves. He's very strong-willed, so anyone who takes care of him must have patience. He's not your typical pet; he requires a lot of space and canine companionship, and he would be perfect for a small game hunter or farmer, especially if they have some hounds already.

Animal ID: 14-12-03-00118Little Girl (female)
This is a puppy born from two rescue dogs. The mom is a mix of some type of hound, Jack Russell, and not sure what else (no pit, though). The dad was rescued about 6 months ago from the side of the road and does have some pit, as well as other breeds in him. He is a good dog who just needed some love. He is also listed on this site as 'Fenix'. The little girl is 11 weeks old and extremely sweet. She is ready to go home with someone for Christmas!

Animal ID: 12-06-05-00343Briley (female)
Briley is just about the best little dog anyone could ask for. She is pure white with ginger markings. She is house trained/crate trained and never barks when in her crate. On top of that, she is a neat freak. She is the first dog I have ever seen that will walk around a mud puddle to avoid getting her feet wet. She walks well on a leash and loves stuffed animals and toys. I have quite a crew at my house. She is very playful when outside and can hold her own with the larger dogs yet she is very gentle and sweet with my little ones. With people, she is somewhat reserved but has a cute quirky personality. People that like a calmer dog would really like Briley. I cannot say enough good things about this girl. I do require a fenced yard. No invisible fences, and a home visit is required. More photos and a video available upon request. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Foxhound in Texas
Foxhound Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The American Foxhound is a fierce pack hunter with a gentle and affectionate disposition when among people. Foxhounds are especially sociable with other dogs. This breed is a natural hunter and is not a good choice for a household with pets other than dogs. American Foxhounds are generally good with children. Some are very protective and others are friendly toward strangers. The American Foxhound can be somewhat difficult to housebreak, will follow interesting scents, and may take off after squirrels, etc. These dogs are best suited to a home with some acreage.
